Carrascalao calls on Emilia Pires to explain US $ 150 million

Ex-Deputy Prime Minister Mario Viegas Carrascalao to explain and justify the amount US $ 150 from the general state budget for 2007 – 2008. 

According to him, the source of the money was from the Government of Fretilin which had not spent properly. 

“The money which had not spent according to the law should be back to the state petty cash. But in fact there has been no system of transparency,” he said.
