Prime Minister, Xanana Gusmao recognized that Timor-Leste was failed to achieve Millennium Development Goals’ objectives because of the poverty level in the country.
Mr. Gusmao talked about the issue in the opening of the New Deal Conference which was held in New York accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Finance.
According to Lusa agency, Mr. Xanana said it was a big challenge for Timor-Leste, but the country would continue to fight against poverty, he was optimistic that the country would achieve the objectives in 2030.
